A single variety Perry made from the well-known Blakeney Red perry pear using the méthode ancestrale approach. This unfiltered perry fermented by wild yeasts has a lively sparkle with medium acidity and tannins. Another perry from our 2021 harvest, in common with a number of our perries from that vintage it was bottled early in 2022. Open carefully and drink chilled.

Blakeney Red Perry Description
Probably the most widely grown perry pear due to its regular cropping and pleasant easy drinking perry. It is important to harvest and process at the correct time to get the best out the fruit so careful monitoring around harvest time is needed. It also has the unusual attribute for a perry pear of often producing good sized fruit typical of a dessert pear – a feature which helps a harvest time.
